Got a Business Idea? Come and Give It Some Space

Starting a business doesn't always begin with a business plan, an office and a five-year strategy.

Sometimes it starts with an idea.

Something you've been thinking about. A skill you could make money from. A side hustle that's beginning to grow. Or simply that feeling that you'd quite like to work for yourself – but you're not completely sure what happens next.

At HB Workspaces, 295 Hesketh Lane, we'd like to help more young people locally take that next step.

A professional space – without the pressure

We're opening up our coworking and meeting space to young entrepreneurs who need somewhere professional to work on their ideas.

You might still be at college or university. You might have a job but be building something alongside it. You may already have your first few customers, or you could be right at the beginning with little more than an idea.

That's absolutely fine.

295 gives you somewhere to get out of your bedroom, away from the distractions at home and into a professional, adult working environment where you can sit down, open the laptop and concentrate on what you're trying to create.

And we're offering the space free of charge to young people who genuinely want to use it to develop their ideas.

More than a desk and Wi-Fi

One of the biggest challenges when you're starting out is that you don't know what you don't know.

That's why this isn't just about providing a free desk.

There are businesses already working from 295 and people around the building with experience in areas including recruitment, careers, running a small business and general SME advice.

We're not promising to build your business for you – that's your adventure!

But sometimes having someone to ask, "Does this sound like a good idea?", "How do I find my first customer?" or even "Where on earth do I start?" can make a huge difference.

We can also offer use of our meeting room, giving you somewhere professional if you need to meet a potential customer, collaborator or someone who could help move your idea forward.

You don't have to call yourself an entrepreneur

The word entrepreneur can sound very grand when you're just getting started.

You don't need a company, employees, a fancy website or a huge social media following.

You just need an idea you're serious about exploring and the willingness to do something with it.

We want HB Workspaces to be somewhere local people can work, connect, create and grow – and that includes giving the next generation somewhere to start.

So, if you're a young person with an idea that keeps going round in your head, perhaps it's time to give it somewhere to go.

Come and have a chat with us at 295 Hesketh Lane. Bring your idea – however early it is – and let's see where it could take you.
