HB Workspaces – Nearly Ready, and Ready to Welcome You
When we first took on 295 Hesketh Lane, we knew it had potential. What we perhaps didn't realise was just how quickly HB Workspaces would take on a life of its own.
We're now in the final stages of decorating and getting everything ready. Like most renovation projects, there have been a few unexpected surprises along the way. Our meeting room suffered a bit of a setback with a damp wall, but after some extra time, effort and patience, it's actually turned out even better than we originally imagined. Sometimes the things that slow you down end up making the finished result even prettier.
People have asked me why we decided to create HB Workspaces. The honest answer is that the opportunity presented itself, and the idea made perfect sense. Having spent years working in London, Manchester and Liverpool, and more recently in shared office environments in Burscough, I've seen first-hand the benefits of flexible workspaces and being around other businesses.
It got me thinking: why should people have to travel into a city to access that type of working environment?
Hesketh Bank already has so much to offer. We have supermarkets, bars, pizza restaurants, charity shops, professional services, wellbeing providers and fantastic local businesses, including those at The Courtyard. We have a thriving community right on our doorstep.
For many people, working from home can be isolating. Equally, spending hours commuting into a city isn't always necessary. HB Workspaces sits somewhere in the middle – a professional place to work, meet clients, network and connect with other people, all close to home.
Tomorrow marks another exciting milestone as we host our very first Coffee & Connections networking breakfast from 8.30am to 10.00am on 1st July 2026.
There is no sales pitch, no membership fee and no pressure. It's simply an opportunity for local business owners, freelancers, professionals and entrepreneurs to get together, have a brew, share ideas and meet like-minded people.
We're not entirely sure what tomorrow will bring, and that's part of the excitement. What we do know is that every successful community starts with people showing up and saying hello.
We hope this will be the first of many networking mornings, but for now we're looking forward to opening the doors, putting the kettle on and welcoming you to HB Workspaces, 295 Hesketh Lane, Hesketh Bank.
